Reading Comprehension is one of the most important parts of the IBA admission test. Usually, there are 2 or 3 comprehensions in an IBA admission test, each having 5 to 7 questions. So, it is crucial for everyone to answer this segment as fast as possible. How should you attempt the reading comprehension questions?
Don't start reading the passage thoroughly from the beginning. First, skim through the whole passage, read the questions and try to figure out which question is from which line of the passage.
After you have completed the skim-through process, start reading the passage thoroughly now while answering the questions at the same time.
In some of the questions, you need to find out the correct answer by rejecting the wrong ones. So, read all the options carefully before choosing the best answer.
A piece of advice: When you read a passage, there's a chance that you might try to interpret the passage into something deep. Don't do that. These passages are usually pretty straightforward, so don't overthink.
Tips: 1. Try increasing your reading pace. 2. Identify and restate the keywords in the question. 3. Improve your vocabulary. 4. Look for the main idea. 5. Break the passage into smaller sections. 6. Don't lose focus while reading the passage. You will then need to start from the beginning, which will waste a lot of your time.
